Bioethanol fuel: choice, consumption and safe handling

The fuel helps determine how calmly and evenly your bioethanol fireplace burns. Here is what matters most for choosing, consumption and safe handling.
Approved fuel only
Only use bioethanol that is approved for your appliance. Follow the label, the fuel’s safety instructions and the instructions for your fireplace.
Unscented or scented?
Unscented bioethanol burns without any added fragrance. Scented variants add a subtle note – from vanilla to cinnamon. Try different variants to find your personal atmosphere.
1 litre or 5 litres?
The 1-litre bottle is ideal for trying out and for scented variants. If you use your fireplace regularly, choose the 5-litre canister. The burning time per litre depends on the burner and flame setting and is stated in the product data of each fireplace.
Filling safely
- Only fill the burner when it is completely extinguished and cool.
- Use a safety funnel to avoid spills.
- Light the flame with a long stick lighter.
- Store bioethanol closed, cool and out of the reach of children.
