Fire, wood and light: 5 ideas for an atmospheric home
Share
A home feels particularly inviting when materials and light work together. Fire, wood and warm light are ideal partners for this. These five ideas show how to combine them.
1. Fire as the centrepiece
A bioethanol fireplace brings a real flame into the room – without firewood or ash. Whether as a wall-mounted fireplace above the sideboard, a freestanding model in an open living space or a surround fireplace: arrange sofa and armchairs so that the fire can be seen from every seat. What applies to installation in Switzerland is explained in our guide.
2. A table that tells a story
A dining table in solid wood and epoxy resin quickly becomes the favourite spot for long evenings. Repeat the wood or resin colour in small accents – for example on a coffee table – and the room feels all of a piece. More in our buying guide.
3. Light on several levels
Instead of a single ceiling light, several warm light sources create depth: a wood and epoxy resin lamp on the sideboard, the flame of the fireplace and candlelight on the table.
4. A calm focal point on the wall
An epoxy resin wall clock combines function and art. Each clock is hand-poured, so colour gradients and swirls are unique. At Ø 40 cm it works above a sideboard, in the dining area or in the office.
5. Scent as the final note
Soy wax scented candles complete the atmosphere – a wooden wick crackles gently like a small fireplace. Tips for the right burn can be found in our candle guide.
